Scriptures about Prayer of Agreement

The practice of prayer is one of the most important elements of faith, and it has been a part of many religious traditions throughout history. One particular aspect of prayer that is mentioned in several scriptures is the prayer of agreement. This type of prayer involves two or more people coming together to pray in unity, believing that God will grant their request.

In Matthew 18:19-20, Jesus spoke about the power of the prayer of agreement when he said, “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” This scripture highlights the importance of praying in agreement with others and the power it has to bring about answers from God.

Similarly, in Acts 4:32-33, we see the early Christians coming together in prayer. The passage says, “Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.” This passage emphasizes the importance of unity in prayer and how it can lead to great power and grace.

Another scripture that highlights the power of agreement in prayer is James 5:16, which says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” This scripture emphasizes the importance of being open and honest with one another in prayer, and how the prayers of righteous people have great power when working together in agreement.

In addition, 1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” This scripture shows us that when we pray in agreement with others, we can have confidence that God will hear and answer our requests.

Overall, the prayer of agreement is a powerful tool that can be used to bring about great change in our lives and in the world around us. By coming together in unity and praying in agreement, we can tap into the power of God and experience his grace, healing, and provision. So let us continue to pray in agreement with one another, believing that God hears us and will answer our prayers according to his will.
